A day without a mexican

Suzanne Friedline just completed principal shooting on “A Day Without A Mexican” in which she co-starred with Yareli Arizmendi (star of “Like Water For Chocolate”) and Carlos Gomez (“Desperado,” “Fools Rush In,” ER, “House of Sand and Fog”).

Production photoIn this offbeat comedy, she portrays Vicky Martin, a career-driven blonde anchor- woman whose fellow newscaster Lila Rodriguez (Arizmendi) becomes a missing person and then she realizes her Latin lover (Gomez) has vanished. The plot revolves around the premise that one day California wakes up and discovers the entire Latino population has disappeared. Naturally there are disastrous repercussions and extremely humorous situations. Directed by Sergio Arau and written by Mr. Arau, Sergio Guerrero and Yareli Arizmendi, the film started as a short five years ago and the response was so terrific they decided to expand it to a full-length feature, which they consider a passion from the heart.

Suzanne has been an active member of Actors Co-op and The Road Theatre for several years and her work has consistently received glowing reviews. She has also performed in regional theatres around the country and on television in various soap operas. She is skilled in conversational Russian and speaks German fluently.
